Detox
The primary purpose of a drug or alcohol detox program is to help those with more severe addictions withdraw from the abused substance correctly and safely. Detox programs are typically not complete until any traces of the drugs or alcohol cannot be found anywhere in the patient’s system.
This is often the initial step of the recovery process and is geared primarily towards individuals recovering from the more severe forms of addiction. There are even some scenarios where detoxing from a few specific, more potent drugs require a form of medication-assisted treatment because of the intensity of side-effects patients may experience.
This other method is necessary to help lessen the severity of withdrawal symptoms. The medications that are prescribed and used during the detox process are used up until the patient begins to show signs that their body is no longer physically dependent on the drugs that had been abused.
Outpatient Rehab
Outpatient rehab programs are another form of addiction care that has been seen time and time again to be effective and helpful to many people.
Many of the treatment options and processes may be similar to those that occur during inpatient rehab therapy and programs. However, the most noticeable difference that is seen with outpatient rehab is that the programs allow the patients to live at home throughout their treatment. This makes it ideal for individuals to transition back into their normal lives where they can continue to work, care for their families, and take care of other personal responsibilities.
All this while still being able to participate in treatment sessions that are scheduled throughout the week.
Inpatient Rehab
Inpatient treatment during the addiction rehab process typically offers structured and individually designed treatment programs that are meant to address every aspect of the patient’s condition because of their addiction.
Inpatient rehab programs are set up in a way that allows the patients to reside onsite at the treatment facility comfortably. Evidence has shown this to be significantly effective because of the positive and substance-free environment. Patients who are taking part in an inpatient rehab program also get to benefit from receiving availability around-the-clock expert therapists and medical staff,
Inpatient rehab is the prime option for anyone who is finding themselves struggling with a chronic drug or alcohol addiction. The therapeutic support that is also offered during these programs makes it, so those who suffer from a co-occurring mental or behavioral disorder are not left out.
Sober Living
Sober living homes are unique and capable of serving individuals who have recently completed a form of addiction treatment. Many of these individuals are looking to prevent a relapse by continually developing new skills that can be implemented in the real world to help maintain their new healthy and sober lifestyle.
It is an excellent opportunity for those who are recovering from severe addictions to make that often tricky transition sagely and confidently back into normal life.
Rehab Program Types
While all programs that are included in the overall addiction recovery process have the same standards and goals in mind, each one plays a specific role that is significant to achieving those goals.
The substance abuse specialists and medical professionals at our Orange County addiction treatment center are trained and qualified to be actively involved during the treatment progress, ensuring that each patient receives the appropriate level of care based on each of their individual needs.
